Spoon

Pot (at least 2 quarts)

Mesh Strainer, or Panty hose (foot part only), or cheesecloth

Bowl or Coffee Cup (to receive hot flax seed gel)

Plastic Container w/Lid (for storage) or

2 Small Squeeze Bottles (for storage and/or application)

Optional Ingredients

4 – 5 drops Vitamin E (preservative)

2 – 3 drops *Essential Oil (natural fragrance)

1 Tbsp Avocado Oil

1 Tbsp PURE Aloe Vera Gel
(DO NOT use store-bought that contains alcohol;
it’s too drying to the hair)

*Essential Oils that are complementary to the Flaxseed gel are lavender, rosemary, peppermint, lemongrass, orange, and more.

Instructions: Bring water to boil. Stir in the flax seeds; stirring every 15-seconds until the gel-like consistency become frothy. Turn off burner. Immediately strain through the strainer or panty hose into the coffee cup (or whichever container you desire). Allow concoction to slightly cool down. Then add in your optional ingredients such as your choice(s) of essential oil(s), Aloe Vera gel, and Vitamin E. Combine all ingredients by stirring them together, then pour into a more permanent plastic container that has a lid or divide concoction and pour into small plastic squeeze bottles. You may use your gel immediately.

You may store unused Flaxseed gel in the refrigerator for up to 3-weeks. Some have even stored theirs in the freezer, then thawing it when needed.

Glycerine & Water Spritz

1 cup Distilled Water

½ cup VEGETABLE Glycerine
(plain glycerine has animal ingredients)

- OR-

½ cup Distilled Water

½ cup Rosewater

½ cup VEGETABLE Glycerine
(plain glycerine has animal ingredients)

Add ingredients to a spritz bottle, shake, spray on hair to help keep hair moisturized and soft.

Castor Oil – Use the Castor oil LAST. It locks in moisture as well as blocks out moisture. This should be used alone. Put some in the palm of the hands and rub hands together then dab it over the hair and twist the tips to give your hair a beautiful shine and seal.

DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR USED SEEDS
Instead, place them in a plastic container (and freeze them),
then reuse them again and again until the gel (mucilage)
no longer provides the consistency you need.
