F.Y.I.: In reading a number of reviews on the Jamaican Black Castor Oil, people have expressed concerns over the oil’s fragrance. Some say it smells smoky, while others say it has a burnt, nutty scent.
Everyone that uses the Jamaican Black Castor Oil wonders what causes it to smell different than the clear Castor oil. The answer lies in the chemical make-up of the product and in the process in which the oil came to its selling point. Some believe it’s because it is unrefined, while others believe it may be that it still contains magnesium, manganese, silica and/or ash.
However, despite its distinct odor, and one that is nonetheless tolerable, the oil seems to deliver results that overshadows the smell.
